For creative coders

Change a number. The world changes.

Generative art, live sliders and pixel shaders in a fluid 3D Logo.

  • Algorithmic drawings you can read. Turtle art, warped spirals, Sierpinski, fireworks. Recursion, repetition and a little randomness — then orbit the camera.
  • Sliders and shaders are material. Drag a parameter while the program runs. setshadertype [pixel glow] chains effects over the space, not behind it — bokeh, motionblur, watercolor, pencil and dozens more — and setshaderamount and setshadersettings tune each one in the chain.
  • Physics and Perlin for motion and texture; multiple turtles for swarms.
  • Record the result. savegif, savemp4 or savewebm capture the canvas as GIF, MP4 or WebM — animated video from inside the environment.
  • A genuine text language, with a blocks view of the same program. Low floor, no ceiling, wide walls: art, animation, simulation, type.

Next step

Open the IDE and load a spiral or turtle-art example from the Examples menu. Change one number. If you want the why behind the gasp, read Warped Logo Spirals.
